The Belize Defence Force and the Louisiana National Guard celebrated twenty years of partnership on Tuesday.

Officials from the Louisiana National Guard and Belize gathered at the Price Barracks to commemorate the milestone.

A  B.D.F. parade opened the day’s celebration and it culminated with a short fly-over and a symbolic gift.

The Louisiana-Belize partnership has grown into one of the State Partnership Program’s oldest, most successful and long lasting partnerships in the world.

The work of the Louisiana National Guard and B.D.F. extends outside of Belize over the years. For the US, Belize has proven to be a valuable partner in the areas of medical and jungle warfare training.
