PETALING JAYA: The health ministry has detected a record 42 new Covid-19 clusters in the past 24 hours, health minister Khairy Jamaluddin said today.

In a statement, he said 22 of them were workplace clusters, 17 were community clusters and one each involved a detention centre, an educational institution and religious activity.

The clusters were detected in Johor, Kelantan, Negeri Sembilan, Pahang, Perak, Penang, Sabah, Sarawak, Selangor, Kedah and Terengganu.
