Zuraida seals fate for PBM

The political lifeline for Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin is extended once again after a meeting with Pakatan Harapan senior leadership today. A 'cooperation' between Parti Bangsa Malaysia and PH was agreed until the next General Election. Zuraida is currently PBM “president-designate”.

"We have agreed on principle for such cooperation to ensure the continuity of a government that is free from corrupt practices and achieve political stability during a period of economic uncertainty" said a source within Pakatan Harapan (PH) senior leadership.

Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (Bersatu) and its president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin had insisted the Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister post held by Zuraida belonged to the party under a quota.

Prime Minister Ismail Sabri as of now, has not made any decision on the position of the Ampang member of Parliament as a member of the Cabinet under his leadership.

The Barisan Nasional and Perikatan Nasional government risk losing their majority with the three PBM MPs leaving the coalition.
